The Friends of the Effigy Mounds (FOTEM) is a volunteer organization that assists with the maintenance, preservation, development, education, promotion of and advocacy of Wisconsin’s Whitewater Effigy Mounds Preserve located in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Restoration efforts include access through the Preserve, managing erosion of the mounds, removal of debris and invasive species, signage, viewing platforms and benches, and important archeological surveys and curation.
